Supported Bitrates, Playlists

Would someone please point me to where I can find:

1) supported bit rates for OGG, WMA and MP3 files (my 350 chokes on WMA files over 255kpbs, and I'd like to know the upper end for Ogg)

2) how to set up playlists that actually work (I'm experimenting w/Media Monkey)

I'm using firmware v280.
