My son bught one from a high street store (forget which) and I bought mine on a cross channel ferry 2 days ago. It just needed a bit of modification as there was a ridge all around the socket side to protect fingers which I had to remove the lower section as the plug is rather large as supplied by iRiver (should say this was for an iHP).
Apart from that all works fine.

Just wait till you get it and check that the plug is rated:
100-240 volts and 50-60 Hz. If so then you just need a simple to buy US->UK travel adaptor. If rated as above the included adaptor will automatically adjust to the input voltage and give a fixed output to the device. |

go to the H series FAQ and look under the heading for using the player in another country. Will show you what plug is used in a given country. Just get a adaptor that converts the two flat prong iRiver supplied plug to fit your country. I bought a universal adaptor pack with several adaptors....cost me $3.00 USD. Works anywhere on the planet.
