Newbie Floating Down The Mistic River

Dismantling ifp300 series

I have an IRiver ifp380T and want to replace a faulty on/play switch. I got the case open but can't get the board out and don't want to force it. Any ideas?

I'll see what I can do with mine, check back later.

Edit: I don't think it's possible to take the upper board out, it's connected to the bottom board which itself is attached to the case with a screw. This screw is impossible(?) to unscrew. I'll post pictures in a bit.

This is what I encountered:

There are 2 screws on the upper board that are easily removed:


However, there's a small screw on the bottom board and the upper board is hard connected to it by the white thingy:



I don't think you can disconnect the upper board.
