iFP-700 versus iFP-800 ?

Now from what I can tell from searching these forums is that the only real difference between these two series of players is the shape.

So is the sound quality the same on both ? Is there less hiss on one compared to another ?

Hiss could be a problem for me because at times I listen to music quietly which means it will be more noticeable.

I decided upon the ifp799 because i think it looks nicer - simple as that. i prefer the aggressive look!!!!

It seems from what i read that Ifp 800 has less hiss problems. Why? - no idea.

As far as I know and from reading on here, it seems that a batch of 799s had hiss problems a while back. It doesn't seem to affect later ones and the 800-series were later anyway. Haven't seen a complaint about the 800-series players.

AFAIK the 700 and 800-series differ only in style and layout, not in terms of their electronics.
