iFP-790 won't connect to PC

I updated my iFP-790 with firmware version 1.75, but it will no longer connect to my PC running WinXP, or to my laptop running Vista. I get an error about not being able to find the correct drivers.

In the player, I go to the General menu and find that I no longer have the options to Format or Update firmware.

Has anyone heard of this happening? Was something severely wonked in the formatting process following the firmware update?
