I have an iFP-890, probably with some old firmware but I don't know which version. I needed to download iriver_Music_Manager _V321_sp.exe from I river's website since I had unistalled music manager and my computer didn't recognize the device. While I'm in music manager I noticed I had 6 old songs on the player that I wanted to clear off. So I used music manager's formatting option. The program crashed and my iriver turned off.
I though the iFP890's battery died so I replaced that, and tried turning it on. Now it just says "Formatting" on the device and I can't do anything else. I've been waiting for about 2 hours and its still "formatting." I can't get windows to recognize the usb connection when it's like this. Does formatting usually take this long? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |
