iFP-799 Stalling/Resetting issue

Hi all, recently gone back to using my iFP-799 at the gym after getting sick of my iPod's bulk and crappy sound quality.

I recently flashed it to the latest firmware (was running 1.25, but now running 1.75) Now it's doing something odd! Sometimes, almost randomly, it'll stop mid-song and power itself off and then restart from the beginning of the next track.

Initially thought it was an encoding fault on a few MP3s, but it's now doing it on tracks that I knew played fine before.

Anyone experienced this issue? Perhaps I should dig up 1.65 or even my old 1.25 firmware revision and backflash it. ? Not sure if it's a firmware issue or if it's actually a player fault... if it IS a player fault, it's the first time in about 2.5 years that my player has given any trouble.

iFP-700's and iFP-800's choke on variable bitrate (VBR) encoded MP3's with ID3v2 tags. They'll usually display the song length as twice the actual value and crash about halfway through the track.
