Ifp-899..driver Help!!

hello everyone...i bought a IFP-899 from a friend and he didnt have the driver cd...so i downloaded the driver from the internet but it doesnt do anything...the driver comes in a .HEX format and i have no clue how to exract it or run it or w/e...any help would be greatly appriciated...thank you

What firmware is on the player? It tells you on the bottom of the screen when you power it on. If it's an IMM version (like 1.24/1.29/1.65) then you need to download the music manager software. You don't need any HEX files at this point. Without the music manager software your PC can't talk to it at all. If the firmware is a UMS version (like 1.28/1.85) then you don't need a driver after Win 98. Just plug in and go.
