iFP-890 problem

When I play one of my songs, it pauses like at 10 seconds then the player restarts itself and plays the next song, anyone what this is?

Also, the I have to push the joystick harder now so I can play the next song....

I believe the IFP-8XX doesn't like v2 tags. When I stripped mine off of mp3 files and left only v1 tags, the general behavior you are descrbing stopped. You might search for more about this in the forum.

I believe the problem is actually VBR MP3 and ID3 v2 tags. For whatever reason, the iFP's choke and pass out on this.

It's when it spikes too high in the bitrate, it'll reboot. It happens on some of my Ogg's cause I like high quality audio. Typically it has to do with the vbr encoder. To fix it, just use flat rate encoding.
