Memory/transfer/waterdamage

my wife caused some serius damage to her IFP-790...i had very important data in it.

i used hers because my IFP 890 was at my office..

my question is, is there a mini harddrive that i can take out of hers and put it in mine so i can upload my data? or some type of memory of some sort?

she dropped it in a cup of coffee, did not tell me till now! many hours later. she dried off the cover but with all that sugar, its sticky and i don't think thers any hope for it.

but i'm hoping that my data can still be rescued?

thanks, this is my first thread.

Wil

Have you tried to dry it with a hair drier? Usually when normal water is spilled in an electronic device this does the trick, though I am not sure that will be so easy with coffee.

Another option is to open the player, remove the flash memory and resolder it in your iFP. This, though, is very difficult to achieve. You need advanced soldering and desoldering skills. If the data is critical then you should contact a proffesional.
