Faulty iFP-795

My daugher was given an iFP-795 for Christmas 2004 and loves it. Problem is it was bought in the US and we live in UK. Although well looked after (treasured actually!), it stopped working in January this year. Can I get any response from iRiver as to whether it is possible to repair and what it would cost?! I can understand this I guess, electronics move on quickly but if anyone has any advice, it would be appreciated. The unit powers up occaisionally (twice this year) and plays for a few minutes. It then powers off and stays off for weeks on end. It's a 512mb player and radio. Thanks.
