iFP-895/899/795/799 or iAudio U2

Just say which you would buy and why.
I want to hear your opinion. Thank You very much!!!

I dont wanna buy the T-Serie (T10 etc.), it must be a player with UMS!

The iRivers are only UMS via a Firmware Upgrade, if you didn't already know. It also reduces the maximum recording bitrate to 96KBpS ...

I have no experience with the U2, so I cannot comment - sorry ...

Personally I prefer the iFP's ridiculously long battery life on a standard AA to an internal battery like the U2's, but I don't have the experience with the U2 to say anything feature-wise.

I have both the U2 and IFP-990. The U2 is a very good player and I like the sound effects it has among other things but I personally bonded with IFP-990, amazing battery life, great sound, and tough for the gym. I like it so much that I just ordered IFP-999 with the 1GB. I perosnally think these players are even better than the newly released players. Regarding internal battary life, let me worry about it in 3-4 years, by then we should have a 20 GB Flash player if not more.

I hope I have helped

iRiver iFP-899, hands down. AA battery, 1 GB, 18-mW/channel amp, recording, FM radio, etc. It's a no-brainer for me.

The Cowon U3, when it comes out, may really alter my opinion on what the best flash player is, though...

Definately the 899, the 800 series is truly a great bang for the buck imo.
