iFP-180T OGG Vorbis Support

I'm using an iFP-180T with firmware version v3.23
Although Music Manager (v3.17) is allowing me to convert tracks ripped from CD into OGG Vorbis, and transfer them to the player, the player itself does not appear to support the format.

Does the firmware simply not support OGG Vorbis or is there another problem?

Thanks!
Pesche

Can anyone shed any light on this one? I have the same problem.

I am 100% certain I read somewhere in the manual etc. that OGG was supported. I have just loaded the thing up with them, and now they won't play!

I can't find any solution so far, please help! I have the 128MB version, I have to actually *choose* which MP3s to take with me each day

Many thanks all.

EDIT: I have a feeling I have found what the problem is, I will report back when(if) I manage to confirm...

Ok, still no luck :/

Look at this:

I played around until bitrates were within the stated limits, yet still, refuses to play.

I shall fire a tech support question to iRiver, perhaps they can explain

I'm not familiar with the 180, but I think I read somewhere that you have to use the right firmware: you get *either* OGG or WMA (or some other codec, not sure which) but not both. Do some searching...
