Soon to be IFP-999t owner needs help

So I'm finally getting into the new millenium technology-wise and decided to get an mp3 player. It hasn't arrived yet, but I bought the last one off amazon.com for $199. After reading a few posts here, I've found that iriver has pretty much given up on this player and firmware updates will probably never come. So, from what I've read I need to do a few things:

1. Download the UMS formware update from the Korean site.
-I went to iriver.com, but I can't read Asian languages. How can I naviagte to the Korean site and download this?

2. I use win98SE and have a USB 1.1 port (I think). Will this cause problems?

2. Get new headphones.
-I'm going to have to do some research. Probably going with the Shure E2's. Any other recommendations welcome.

Anything else I should do once I get my player?
Also, are there any accessories for this player? It seems most sites have accessories but assume this player has the same dimensions as the 700/800 series, which I don't think it does.

TIA

OK, I found UMS ver 1.3 and manager ver 1.2 (not sure what that one's for), so scratch number 1!

You can find a list of all applicable downloads on iRiver's main site here, including the latest versions of both the UMS and Manager firmware in whichever language you choose, as well as the UMS drivers for Win98/ME.
