In the same vein...
"those who sleep and never wake, live forever the reality of their dreams" ...unknown Reincarnation as a cat admittedly has its good points... It's the neutering part that would bother me! :o/ As a practising daylight atheist* and a part-time agnostic, I'd certainly like to believe in an afterlife... Reason tells me oblivion awaits... Hope says, maybe there IS something else. The older I get, the more inclined I am to listen to the voice of hope! *daylight atheist... (One who is inclined to believe in a god only when it's dark and they are frightened) :o)

Yeah.. the neutering does kinda put a downer on cat reincarnation.. i just hope i'd be coming back as a feral... :P
Eternal damnation .. should the outcome be that.., well.. after a year or so of iRiver Int hell.. and the last year or two of damn near 24/7 tech support life, i'm almost looking forward to a bit of soul torturing... But if i am lucky enough to ascend (i got a few lifetimes of karma catch-up to do before that's likely), and old St P wants to judge my worthiness... he'll be given a ticket and told to join the queue.. as there's a hell of a backlog of people who wanna judge my worthiness first :P When in hell, remember to say hi to all your buddies.. cos you'll always be amongst friends... :P FG

gdog... Faith, in the sense you probably mean, is something I don't have and having seen something of its' effects, I'm not sure I'd want it my friend!
BUT... If you DO see me there, you have my permission to say "I told you so"... I'll look out for you... I take it you'll be the one without a harp, clutching a DAP and wearing headphones? FG... Nope, coming back as a feral cat wouldn't suit either, I like my home comforts too much, I'd much prefer tinned food and biscuits to eating mice and birds.. all those feathers! ugh! And to be outside in all weather, no nice warm fire to curl up in front of... No thanks, not my idea of bliss at all!
