Hi all,
I have a few questions about my new player that i hope can be answered. I have searched the site and read the FAQ but nothing has shed any light on my problems. Here they are, when i use Music Manager to upload files i will try to open the folder on my PC that contain the files (music) that i which to transfer onto the player. When i click on the folder no files are displayed and the program freezes. Secondly i run Windows ME and can not figure out how to 'disconnect' the player, do i simply unplug the player (this doesn't seem healthy) or should there be some other way? Other than that i really like the player and want to resolve these minor problems, any help would be great. I'm glad i found this site, it's very helpful. |

Welcome to MisticRiver, CNDGUY
Firstly, you may want to uninstall, and then re-install it. If the problem continues, you may want to go the way of UMS Firmware (there is a downside to this, namely only being able to record up to a maximum bitrate level of 96KBpS) ... Secondly, if you look in your system tray, there should be an icon that allows you to safely disconnect the hardware ... if you take your mouse and slowly scroll over each icon whilst the player is connected, you will know which one it is |

Windows ME users
I also have Windows ME. I don't think that there is a disconnect safely icon. The manual kind of addresses this in the installation section - it says that Windows ME will not detect new hardware. But if there is a way to disconnect more safely I would also like to know. I also initially had a glitch with the IMM software not opening in the upper PC folder, thus not allowing me to copy individual files. I did uninstall/reinstall the software, which fixed the problem. Any other things Win Me users should know, anybody?
