iFP-999 hacked firmware
Dear iRiver community,
Has anyone an idea where to find a hacked firmware for the iFP-999 ? For the "pro's" of you I don't need to get into further details. I probably just need to mention: "UMS + maximum recording quality". Thanks in advance for the answers, Michael PS: Is it normal that the optical line-in feature does not work at all ?

I've been hoping for some news in this area as well. COuld someone post more detailed instructions on how to make these modifications? The IfpCryptanalysis page on the Rockbox site has some uiseful information and code to decrypt the firmware, but how can you safely find the right values to change, and how do you re-encrypt the firmware afterwards in order to actually use it? Most importantly, what happens if by trial and error, you change the wrong value and load corrupted firmware onto your player? Thanks in advance to anyone that can offer some insight.
