Unhappy Noise problems while recording from tuner

HI ,
I bought iRvier 799 few days back in US . I'm facing a peculiar problem while recording from Tuner . The player is randomly introducing noise in between the songs . This dosent happen for every time .The noise level is so high that I cant figure out the original song . Is this releated to the white noise issue reported in some of the articles .
Also I'm finding the equilizer to be ineffective for tuner .

Has anyone faced this problem .....
I cant return the player as I have returned back to India ......
any help on this will be highly appreciated .......

many thanks in advance ,
ashish

It sounds like a fdault to me - my 799 is fine on the radio and the recordings seem to be clear.

Do you have a really weak signal - maybe the recording is actually knocking the signal out?
