will these iFP players power a mini-plug microphone?
I am wondering , do these iFP players have the 2.5v power to the mini-condenser microphones? i am wondering if i need to buy a pre-amp to amp the recording mic....

I cant say for sure, but on my IFP-795 I can choose Control -> Line In/Ext Mic, and the choose how the Line-In contact should behave. Either as 'Line In' or as 'External Microphone' connection. Both the IFP-700/800/900 series have this choice supported. Not IFP-100/300 and 1000-series. I dont know about the IFP-500 series.
