Hi,
I recently purchased a IFP795 and it's a great player, however I am having some real problems when using windows media player. First problem is that whenever I select the device (Tools>Options>Devic es) wmp crashes. I know this topic was covered in a previous thread but did anyone get to the bottom of it. I am using the latest firmware and have reinstalled wmp but to no avail. Have tried on another machine but again no luck. My second problem is that on some files when I transfere them using wmp I get sound faults in the transfered files on playback. It is always the same tracks and at the same point in the song. However the original is perfect and if I use music manager to sync the song the resulting file is fine. Has anyone else had this problem. The reason I want to use wmp is so that I can set it to transfer all files (and convert them if necessary) in a specific format and bitrate, as i always rip at 192kbs but want to transfer them at 128kbs. I don't think that I can do this using music manager. I also have several DRM files I would like on my iriver. Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

Problem Fixed
I updated my driver to the UMS version and everything now seems to be working OK. WMP no longer crashes and there are no playback errors. OK I cannot now use music manager but I really don't see that as much of a loss!
