'New'?

'Factory Firmware' is what the player comes with, IIRC >.>

Yep, new... I'd say Aug 5th is a pretty new release date... wouldn't you?

2 possibilites...

1. Although the players came with factory firmware installed, (or did they? It may have been a slightly later version), anyway, if they did, I doubt they came with a copy of the factory firmware itself... hence this is a 'new' release... make sense now?

2. Having read of some of the problems that users have been experiencing with this range of players "straight out of the box", there's also the possibility that this release is a surreptitious 'bug-fix'... But then I'm cursed with a suspicious nature!

so, had anyone give it a try?
my iFP-790 comes with 1.15, and i havent run into any problem with it... yet.
so i'm not that keen to upgrade (or downgrade?) the firmware... but i'm keen to find out what it (1.20) does.
Do share your experience with this thing. Thanks.
