Any Plans for OGG Support for iFP-1XX / 3XX?!?
I was just wondering if anyone heard of support for OGG files on the iFP-1XX or iFP-3XX series players?

perhaps through firmware updates?

firmware for ifp-100 no because the hardware cannot support it but the ifp-300 already has support.... you need to be updated... go check out iriver korea.

you can either have support for mp3/wma or mp3/ogg. make a wise choice. this is the lastest firmware by the way. released on august 31 2004.

I was just on the iriver website and it says that neither will support ogg ...

I look forward to getting this new firmware though.

The iFP-3xx series has supported Ogg playback, in IM firmware form, for a good few months now (about 6 or 7 i think) - but it was beta firmware.

I thought i saw something about a UMS release too.

This is not totally correct, the iFP-100 series can support Ogg Vorbis, it has been done, however, you would only get the Ogg Vorbis codec, and in very low bitrates as the iFP-100 has very limited ram.
