connect to Dish DVR???

Hey guys has any one figured out how to connect to a dish DVR? I have a dish 625 DVR which has a USB port on it and now they have the pocket dish that connects through the usb, but when I try to connect to it it tells me device found but when I try to check content or transfer content it says action not supported. Their has to be a way and I figure seings how probably at least half the people on here are more savy than I am some one has to have this solved.

Must be some way, if it has usb, and can transfer to pocket dish, then it must work, just finding the right codes, hacks, software.
