H320 to H340 Conversion Case Problem
After reading a LOT of discussions and attempts of a resolution of the case fitting problem of making an H320 into an H340 (and trying some of my own), I tried something that is simple, cheap and long-term viable and looks really snazzy and is also protective of the system. Go to Amazon.com and do a search on 'iRiver H340 FlexiSkin'. Pick your color and get one. When it arrives, take your H320 with the thicker drive in it and forget about the 5 screws that hold the case together. Snug a rubber band around the unit with the back case in place to hold it together while putting on the FlexiSkin. Slide the FlexSkin on until the rubber band is no longer needed and remove the rubber band. Complete the insertion into the FlexiSkin and you will have a usable, good looking, protected, professional looking H320 looking and acting like an H340 with no further problems.
If you try this and have any problems, please let us know because we don't need another problem prone solution. I have been using my 60GB H320 done up like this for a week now and it is working out fabulously. |

My battery is 2200mah. The HD is 60GB. No, this isn't too much for the skin if you have an H340 skin. It isn't tight at all, just comfortably snug.

If you don't fully trust yourself to do this kind of moding, don't try it. If any of the case parts or electronics get damaged, they are not replaceable with readily available parts and very, very few people have the expertise to solder on these circuit boards. |

I have an H320, and was considering spending money made over the summer on upgrading to a 2200mAh battery and at the minimum, a 40GB hard drive.
Can I get someone that's gone this route to confirm that there aren't any kind of problems with this method, like things coming loose easier or whatnot?
