MisticJeff, I have a question for you -

Do you plug the earphones in the remote (inline with the DAP) or do you plug both the remote and the earphones side by side on the DAP?

Hi people. Only registered today as I've just bought an iRiver H340SE and I'm now looking to make my badboy complete with a remote seeing as iRiver (in their infinite wisdom) have now discontinued the non-Lite range. I've just spent the best part of an hour reading through yohan's post and then Jeff's and figured Jeff would be the better option by the look of things. I've checked misticaudio and can't seem to find a "pre-order" option to purchase the remote. Can anyone help me out? Are you still taking orders Jeff?


Also, sorry to be a pain, but am I right in reading that this will cost approx £45 incl shipping to the UK?

I really would like to have a remote control,
but I currently do not plan to order one from Mistic iRiver - I would like to get it directly somewhere in Germany!

You can't get 'em in Germany.

Only in Korea and Japan.
So MisticAudio is probably your only chance...



@Jeff - you might wanna change your OP.
Have in big bold letters something like;

"Only vote yes if you are prepared to buy from MisticAudio at $x"

'Cos some people don't seem to be getting it...

Also about the price, Jeff has explained that as well, it is the lowest he can go without committing business seppuku. AFAIK, this is the only place to get the remote safely and securely, and at a set price, outside Korea (Japan too methinks). The other choice has always been ebay. Though last time I saw one on there it was about $140USD and it wasnt done yet.

Oops! I voted thinking it was just another poll, and THEN I scrolled down (typical rookie mistake). Sorry. The remote DOES sound interesting, but I just dropped some serious $$ on H320 (2 days ago), headphones (yesterday), and I plan to order that Smart Copy USB Bridge for USBOTG, so I'm kinda strapped for cash.

looks like the lcd remotes are sold out! If you want the normal "lite" remote then they seem to be instock here for £19:

re: price I think it works out to about $85 delivered to the UK, but there is always the chance of getting stung for duty on top of this

Cheers, but I really only want the LCD display remote. I don't see the point in the other one as I'll have over 30G of music on the unit and I don't want to have to guess where I'm at in the library!

Does anyone else know if there's somewhere I can find an LCD remote?

Alas, my excitement was short-lived as I found that I have the dreaded 'clicking' noise.
Oh, well. At least you can't notice it when the music is playing so it's not that big a deal.

I just got mine. Haven't tried listening to anything on it yet, but I have a question:

Q: I've noticed that when I use the remote it turns on the DAP's main screen as well. Is there any way to make it not turn on the screen so I can save some battery time? If so, where do I do this in the Settings?
