Is it likely that compatability with other cameras will come with later firmware updates? I was disappointed since the iRiver website says the H320 is compatible with another Pentax Optio model so was expecting mine to also. Will probably email iRiver for what it's worth!
On pmmagic's suggestion I repeated this test with 1.29e (that is with my Pentax Optio s5i with 256mb SD card). It did not work either with the newer firmware. However, I remember reading before about which file system (FAT etc) the H300 preferred, so hopefully someone can advise.

DAP - H340

I knew Sony cameras will not sync directly to the H340 so I bought a
DSE (Dick Smith Electronics) Generic 33in1 Card Reader (Code XH6315)
AU$40

Cards:
Toshiba 1Gb SD card - worked
Sony brand 256Mb Memory Stick Pro (Magic Gate) - worked!
Sony brand 128Mb Memory Stick Classic - worked!
Sony brand 16Mb Memory Stick Classic - DID NOT WORK????

THe card reader would read the 16Mb card when connected to a PC but the iRiver H340 would not connect and read to it.... interesting.

Canon Camera Twain drivers required off supplied CD.


Does NOT work on H320. Detects a device connected, but doesn't show 'DEVICE' in browse mode.

I have finely - after almost one year - found a cardreader that works with my H320. Try ScanDisk MobileMate SD+. I use Kingston Elite Pro SD cards, 256 Mb, 512 Mb og 1024 Mb, and they all works great. Hope it may help a you out there.

Result: Works!

Result: Works!

Storage: Generic 256mb USB memory drive

...I am yet to try my 2.2gb microdrive with USB-OTG (in the Dynax 7D), but I will do so today.

Works perfectly, tested the camera with the Iriver before it had ever been hooked up to the computer.

She works:
1.
Camera: Panasonic DMC-FZ20
Card:A Data, 512MB
Iriver model: H340
Firmware: V1.28

2.

Card: SAndisk, 512MB
Iriver model: same
Firmware: Same

Both of the above we're recognised with no problems by Iriver. transfers from camera to iriver seemed to take forever (up to 1/2 hr +). in all fairness though i was transferring a big chunk of data.

OS: Same

OK so this was a bit of a longshot. would've been nive though as it is a camera phone.

Hey, I am using a canon powershot a520 and is DOES NOT WORK on my international iRiver h340. I bought a 15 dollar LOGiiX USB 2.0 SD card reader and it totally works with my iRiver. No probs at all!!
