How can I buy a LiP385585 IONITY battery from you and how much is one ?

At this moment the LiP385585 is the IONITYs only battery with 1900/2000mAh

In the H300 series you have to remove more parts than inside the H100 series. The front and rear panels are fixed with four clips each and it's hard to remove the front panel at the last steps.

The 3.8mm are more than enough. You can close the case safely but there is not an inch free space left between rear panel and battery. If you want to use an "thicker" battery (> 3.8mm) you have to remove the blue rubber mat between battery and hard disk.

No I didn't run the test with the original battery.

I've got very good connections to the management, insolvency practitioner and distributor. So I've got enough batteries in stock and I can get more if I need. For example when there will be an omnibus order from the US.

I've recharged the battery from flat (display: low Bat, player: off). I know that you can try to start the player again for about 10-30 mins after a couple of minutes.

1) I sell these batteries
2) Have a look at www.dapstore.com
3) It's a bit harder as the H100 series
4) Yes. And the english version will be the first one. Pictures are ready
(online step-by-step slides will be ready within 2 days)
5) Original battery is an SKC LPCS355385 (3,5mm thick, 53mm width, 85 mm length) with an capacity between 1400 to 1500 mAh.

IONITY LiP385585

OK guys, i clicked on the sites that you guys posted and they either send me to a "search results" site, or are dead. i want to know if there is a site wher ei can buy the IONITY LiP385585. I went to Buckaroo Benzai's www.dapstore.com, and it just went to some search site with lots of different websites.. i couldnt search for the IONITY LiP385585. Is there a place that i can buy this? i would really want to buy it.. and can anyone tell me the price? my iriver just suddenly died, in the middle of play, while it was like 30 mins into the song, After it was fully charged. Some poeple said its a sign that the battery is dying, so i want to replace it. Please give me a site where i can purchase it, and please provide a step by step on how to replace the battery? i have already passed the warranty. Thank you everybody!

Ionity batteries are no longer available at all.

Its only in big bold letters to get peoples attention BTW.

Ionity went into liquidation a while back now. The only batteries available that will work are the ipod first and second gen batteries. The guide in my sig contains all the info you need to know on installing one.

----------------

To the mods: could this thread be unstickied? Its very long and much of it is now outdated, maybe start a new battery thread?

Since this is a battery thread perhaps some of you could lend an ear. If indeed you still check this.
I've had my iriver H340 for and awfull long time now. My stock battery went down to about 2 hours so i changed to a 2200mah battery. That was about 8 months ago. Just recently on a full charge the battery instantly drains to about 10 % . I assumed that this was the battery reaching the end of its life so i got another one. Brand new out of the box and the same thing happens. So naturally i assume that its a dud battery so i try again. Same deal.

Does anyone have any idea why my iriver would do this to 3 batters on the trot when before it was still running for 15 hours on rockbox?
Any help would be great. thanks guys

hey just a question => on ebay, all the 2200mAh ipod 1st & 2nd gen batteries are 3.7V.... is it juicy enough since my dead battery is 4.07V full ? i'm gonna get one soon if the response is okay ^^

fernandoman => DO NEVER LET A COMPLETE DISCHARGE OF A LITHIUM ION BATTERY ! it's like a living body => no energy = dead cells meaning if you go under 10%, shut it down immediatly and charge it
if it's not because of this, i can't tell ^^

okay, so i just replaced the battery in mine following denny's instructions, i got one of the 2100 mah newertech batteries. I switched the polarity like it said, but it didn't work the first time and the battery didn't hold the charge. I've switched it back and it seems to be holding the charge, but whenever I try to listen to music AND have it plugged into the a/c adapter it says "connected". i read the thread on fixing that issue and i tried wiring the 2 outer leads. it sorta works but goes right back to connected. is this still a battery issue?

I've successfully replaced my battery twice already. Both times with a generic ebay-purchased china made generic 3.7V 2200mah 1g/2g battery. ("Cameron Sino") Each time, the initial battery life was miraculous, as much as 25 hours (vol 20, random all, mostly 192k mp3's). Once again, my battery life is down to like 6 hours.

is the $29 Newertech that much better, or does its performance wane.

I should note that I never USB charge, use it alot.

since some people subscribed this topic, i got some important questions :

1 - Who got a swelling battery ? (my Cameron Sino is on its way since my battery is standing less than 2 hours...)

2 - Does passing the battery though an electro-magnetic field damages it ? (i work in an airport as security agent [you know the guys watching the screen and opening your bags... don't even think about doing this job it sucks ^^ but gotta pay my stuff for college ] and got to go though the EMF many times in a day...)

3 - People who got the 2100mAh battery : where did you buy it (cannot find on ebay) and did it swell after a week or lose power ?

thanks

I finally got a new Cameron Sino 2200mah battery to replace my dying stock battery. My player is nearly 2 years old now so it lasted quite some time. The replacement guide was very informative and easy to follow. I had a bit of trouble changing the polarity, I broke the one that came with the battery had to use the iriver one. I also found it was a very tight fit and I had to remove the blue padding. I just replaced it with some bubble wrap so the battery and hdd wouldn't touch. My player is charging now and I'm hoping to see some nice battery tests. Cheers guys.

Hello,

Last night I replaced my battery (for a 2200 MAh) so I let it charge while I slept. It said charging and it noticed that the hold button was on, but unfortunately it it doesn't do much more than that. It seems like it doesn't hold the charge.

There is a small chance I got the wires mixed up, so should I open it up and change the polarity? Or aren't these the right symptoms for that problem?

Thanks for responding.

Sonnet 1G2G (2200 mAh) so far so good

Last night I installed a Sonnet high-capacity iPod replacement battery (2200 mAh) on my H340 and it looks good so far. I will post some battery tests but initially this battery looks good.

Here is the link to the Sonnet website:

I changed the polarity (the red and black wire now really correspond with the original battery, they were the wrong way round), but still it doesn't work properly... Gonna open it once again this afternoon and see whether it might be the plug or sth...

Successful battery replacement!

Took the plunge and replaced with an iPod 2100mah battery... Newertech... It went smoothly... The pictures available here and the ipod99 video were helpful...

Reversing the polarity was pretty simple...

Repacking everything was a bit challenging, but came together very well...

Been listening all day to it and no problems!

You can replace the battery in the 20gig h10's using the same batteries as we use for the h300's. Someone on here did it but I cant find the thread and there is no guide.

Basically you need to open the player, take out the old battery, swap the polarity of the new battery (if its meant for an ipod), plug the new battery in and put the player back together. See my H300 battery replacement guide in my sig for details on swapping polarity.
