So I recharged my new battery before reassembling my player without any problems. The battery works perfectly! But it was a pain to reassemble my player lol! To be able to close the back panel I was obligated to remove the blue rubber protector that is between the hard-drive and the battery normally... Even without it I had to use a little bit of force to close it!
Beside that all works well

Euh ... It was absolutely impossible to close it with the padding! I may retry lol but I'm surprised that you was able to close the player with it...
Edit: I tried again but when a side is "clipped" the other side unclip... And I don't want to damage the battery ![]() There is my player with my new battery. ![]() I'm unable of closing it because of these plastic part next of the black rubbers... ![]() When I try to put some pressure the aluminium that are around the battery is deforming ...

Uh ... Trim away, what do you mean ? Cut some of the aluminum that are blocking the back of the player ? (I'm not very good in english and I don't want to damage my player if I misunderstand ^^')
Thanks !

okay this topic is very interesting! but I've got a question... It seems taht Ipod 1st and 2nd generation battery are not really easy to put in a H320.. What about in a H340?? and the second question is: are the battery for the 4th generation of ipod smaller than those for the 1st and 2nd so that it would be easier to put inside the iriver h320/h340? I'm gonna order one of those batteries but I want to make the right decision...
thanks for your help (and sorry for my bad english... I come from belgium so that my antive laguage is french..) |

Sorry for everybody that talking english
Salut Matsuto!

OKay thanks benacool, so following what you said, it's not possible to put a ipod 1st and 2nd genaration's battery inside a h340..
Well, I know the HD takes more place inside the iriver but the H340 is also a bit bigger so I though that it would be possible... I was wrong And does the IONITY LiP385583 fit inside hte H340? Because I don't trust those battery and because I received this H340 instead of my H140 (thanks to Iriver warranty Thanks for your help |

In fact you can make the Ipoo battery fit your H340 as well the H320 but you must remove the blue rubber between the hard-drive and the battery, (it's what I done) or cut some part of the the folded aluminum on the side like said in the previous posts. (Swifty and me)
At the opposite of waht you said you should use the IONITY LiP385583 for the H3x0 at www.dapstore.com. This battery have the good polarity on the molex connector (it's not the case of the Ipoo's one) and fit in the H300 series. The price is higher but you are sure of the compatibility...

okay thanks ! I heard something bout that polarity thing... I'll try, I guesss I'll just have to revert it and it will work... I'll try with the ipod battery because It is more powerfull

So... let me get this straight. If I was to buy the Ipod battery - 2200mA - I would need to move the wires in the molex. They seem to cost 9USD. Or I could buy a less powerful battery (the IONITY) for 39 Euros...hmm no real contest.
What I want to ask is: if I purchase the Toshiba MK3006GAL (30gb Hard disk upgrade) and this battery, will I be able to fit both into the case of my H320. I'm guessing relpacing the HD doesn't make any difference as it is the same (physical) size as the one that's in there. The Hard Disk FAQ mentions a 40Gb single platter drive - can't find this anywhere, is there any more info on it? Thanks in advance. Ian |

Actually, the 3006-GAL is 100 quid inc VAT. There's no point for a mere 10Gb upgrade - may as well flog the H320 and buy an H340 instead.
But I prolly will end up buying the battery. Well done everyone here! |

Successfully upgraded to the Newertech Nupower 2100mah battery last night. I have to say it was pretty easy and straight forward (once I got the nerve to disasemble it).
I'll post some battery test (on 160kb ogg files) once it's been recharged a couple of times.
