To the extent of interest:
Available from Boston Computer Group, an electronics wholesaler, via eBay, the Toshiba MK6006GAH 60 GB drive for use in the HP-140 players, new (not refurbished). $89 "instant sale" price, and that includes ground shipping in the U.S. (no tricky eBay inflated shipping price issue there), insured. Payment is via PayPal, but you can call to pay via credit card for 3% extra and double your 1-year warranty if your credit card provider has that perk. Seems to be a good and helpful company, and a good deal that others might be interested in. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Toshiba-MK60...QQcmdZViewItem |

They're refurbished too!
They do have 11 of them for sale though. They must be getting them from somewhere then...

The 80 gb drives have been and remain ridiculously-priced. At that price, I'd buy a new Apple 160 gb player.
Received my 60 gb drive without any issue whatsoever--fast and in its anti-static case, in a padded box in another padded box. And installation went off without a hitch. Hopefully, this will last me until there are 80-100 gb flash drive based players. (Maybe, at that point, iRiver will start sellling audiophile high-capacity players again.) |

That 60GB drive is reasonable but the MK8007GAH is just way too expensive for me. And I definitely could use the extra space
