H120 to 130

Just modded my new-to-me H120 to an H130. Got an Apple-branded MK3006GAL off of Ebay for $70 (it had apparently already been formatted using a laptop, so no problems with partition weirdness or anything) and a Torx screwdriver set at Home Depot for $6. Followed NPswimdude500's instructions, very easy. Nothing more to say, could not have been easier.

Battery upgrade to 2200mAh battery happens next week.

Battery upgrade is easy but not as easy as the HD upgrade. Just a bit tricky if you have big fingers like me.

Glad the FAQ helped! I added your link to the 'links' section.

Yeah, I got a hint of that today as I was disassembling it again to resolder the headphone jack contacts in place.

The worst problem for me was the fact that the Torx screwdriver I bought doesn't have a magnetic tip -- those little screws on the motherboard kept falling off when I tried to put them back in.

But yeah -- big fingers here, too. Not good for precision electronics work!

Next time around, might try magnetizing your Torx screwdriver...less dropped screws

Personally, I prefer to use a tiny bit of petrolium jelly (vasiline) to keep the screws stuck to the driver rather than magnetism, as magnetic fields can be damaging to some components in/on the mother board / harddrive. Even though the ammount of magnetism is probably to small to cause damage there is still a small change it will.
