H120 to 130
Just modded my new-to-me H120 to an H130. Got an Apple-branded MK3006GAL off of Ebay for $70 (it had apparently already been formatted using a laptop, so no problems with partition weirdness or anything) and a Torx screwdriver set at Home Depot for $6. Followed NPswimdude500's instructions, very easy. Nothing more to say, could not have been easier.
Battery upgrade to 2200mAh battery happens next week. Last edited by michael.conner : December 15th, 2006 at 07:58 AM. |

Battery upgrade is easy but not as easy as the HD upgrade. Just a bit tricky if you have big fingers like me.

Glad the FAQ helped! I added your link to the 'links' section.

The worst problem for me was the fact that the Torx screwdriver I bought doesn't have a magnetic tip -- those little screws on the motherboard kept falling off when I tried to put them back in. But yeah -- big fingers here, too. Not good for precision electronics work! |
