H140 hard drive

hi
Ive got a H140 and ive had it for about a yr now and everytime i start it up it says check HDD conection and then takes ages to startup and sometimes hwen it does it just says there is nothing on it. Also it sometimes takes ages to play a song and other times it just jams up completly im guessing the HDD is broke so i wana get a new one ive been looking at the 80gb one on DAPstore and am i right that it will fit in perfectly and i wont have any problems installing it? Also would i need to get a bigger battery or would the normal battery be ok? could you fit the bigger battery in with it anyway with the 60gb HDD?

Also when its installed and ive formatted it in windows (yes i know i gotta get a App to format it!) how will i get the iriver software no it? does it just startup in the usual way?
Thanks for the help!

Bigger battery, you mean the higher rated one, it is the same size.

wow astec..mellowed out, huh?

1) I dont think theres an 80GB drive that would fit yet, plus...jeez, 80gb? I have 60 and havent even used half the space yet.

2)you dont NEED a higher rated battery, but while youre in there you might as well replace it. they seem reasonably priced

3)you would install the software same as usual

4)try out the search function. works pretty well!

LOL. I bet you pointed out item number 4 because that is what Astec should have said.

well, sorta. I could never be a mod because it amazes me that people just plain refuse to use the search function, on ANY site.
