What about the PMP? be great to get a bigger drive considering I have about 230Mb of space. Strange that that guy has not given up considering the place has no users.

Teknomancer, bung a PM to Simon D he has removed and exchanged a Hdd from his PMP. Also look at all the examples of swapping drives so far. Haku may be work a message too as he has 2 devices and I think he has done a bit of tinkering.

It should be no big deal. I have already changed my battery with a 1900mah one from DAPStore. I am very pleased with them and the battery kicks-ass.

I am quite sure that I will buy the 60GB HD. I have paid quite some bucks(euros)0 for my iHP-140 and I want to invest in it, in order to keep it as much as I can. Now imagine a 60GB iHP-140 (or iHP-160!) with Rockbox flashed, ooohhh boy, sounds that I will be having the best DAP ever made!!

Yeah, it seems like it might not be worth the cost and trouble to add 20gb. But I've only had my H340 for 2 weeks. I may change my tune when I fill it up.

Easy to Install....How do I get it????

This upgrade should be a snap, as I just upgraded a DMC-XCLEF 500 to 100 gig, and it was not complicated at all....the QUESTION IS???
How do I get the 60 Gig drive? Could someone please post this for us to follow up on?

Taking apart an H1xx player is dead easy when you have necessary torx screwdriver, however putting it back together you mustn't tighten the two side screws too tight - both side panels on my H120 are split in two because I tightened them too tight! it still holds together ok but it is annoying they've broken.

Now, where's that price list...

I've got one simple question: What kind of hard drive is in the Creative Zen Xtra 60G? i started a new post simply asking this question but no one was quite intelligent enough to understand. now, before getting an answer, the post was locked and instructions were left to post here (ya know, at the end of 3 pages of redundant BS where no one will ever find my question). after all, all i was asking was "is it possible to upgrade a hard drive?'. wait, no i wasnt. thats right i wanted to know what freakin hard drive is in a Zen Xtra? does anyone out there know?!?!

The Zen jukes (even Zen Touch) are using 2.5'' HD not 1.8'' ones...

I'm waiting for monoplatter 40Go 1.8'' HD to buy both it and a larger battery (1900mAh or more if possible)...

Then my iHP140 will roxxx and even roxxorz with Rbx fw (when ready)

They'll likely be very very expensive when they first come out (reckoning end of year though some sources think Q3 05) since it's actually a new technology.. whereas the move from 20GB platter to 30GB platter was just an incremental improvement in density.

Toshiba have some monoplatter 40GB 1.8" available (in presumably very scarce numbers) for testing purposes at around $1000 ..

Indeed i do know this issue Stripwax (the new tech is called P-recording for perpendicular recording)... Anyway i'm not too hurried and move from 20 to 30Gb isn't cool for me (too low increasing to be very interesting)

i should wait...
