Is Bill Gates Introducing H10 At CES 2005?

Is Bill Gates going to introduced the iRiver H10 as the first player to fully support PlayForSure or am i just going crazy.... i swear i read it somewhere. If i'm not crazy then woooo can you say goodbye iPod mini? Who are you going to listen to Bill Gates, the richest man on Earth who owns the Windows OS that about 98% of the world uses, or Steve Jobs, the wannabe who isn't making much money off his Mac, but is convincing the retarded and technically challenged that the iPod is the best MP3 player EVER. Hmm i think i'd listent ot the rich guy.

*Stabs with knife and promptly uninstalls.*

I know that i'm setting myself up for total and utter abuse here but, I think Windows is great. I understand that there seems to be some stability issues sometimes but overall it's an easy system to navigate and it performs as I expect. *ducks the torrent of abuse being hurled by the populous*

Don't get me wrong, i think windows is a very good product aswell. I just can't stand XP. 2000 is a perfect OS for me.

Bill gates presenting the H10 can only be good for iRiver aswell

It just seems to be a heck of a lot easier to use. Although XP has loads of wizards and such to help you set things up, i tended to find they break things more than they fix them. Plus the visual styles that made it all pretty tended to distract me

You guys didn't answer my question yet. Is it true? Maybe i just dreamt about it or something. Don't get all excited and blame me if i'm wrong, but WOW BILL GATES RULES!!! And no the H10 will have nothing to do with the Microsoft OS. It will just have support for DRM WMA or something like that.

This is horrible, I can see it now the Iriver has become a sub division of Microsuck...I only use this OS because of winamp, my camera and Irivium/Anapod. If Linux had real music programs [Xmms, Rhythm box, and Zinf suck.] I would not be in Windows nearly as much as I am on my desktop right now.

Send a message via MSN to sanjay
remember you dont have to use the H10, nor buy it. iriver getting steve jobs under his sleeve is only the best news ever for us iriver users, we will finally get some big time recognition. i use WMP10 for everything mediawise anyway - so its no biggie if i would need to use a MS media program to sync with my H10 if i ever get one.

and for the record, i love windows XP pro shits on 2000 in most ways. the way it installs drivers without locking up your system, the fancy luna visual style, themes, new start menu, all the funky stuff ive come to love and cant live without.

Windows 2000 is far stable than XP; which is why I use it.

LOL, the usual misunderstanding.
With XP, one little tick box switches off all the wizards and it's tacky look and will revert to a Win2000 look/style, and it's by FAR more stable than 2000, 2000 was good, XP is much better.

But if you're happy with 2000 then that's fine.
I'm using most the platforms including Win2003 server which is amazing too.

Back on topic,
It would not surprise me if Mr.Gates showed an interest - if you remember Microsoft were to have some DAP's, and iRiver being one of the manufacturers.
