iRiver users in Japan: Advice please

Hi,

A friend of mine is visitig Japan in the next month and I would like him to buy for me one of the newly released H10 players. I’m not sure yet exactly what city he’s visiting. Are iRiver players easily available at major retailers in most cities?

not sure exactly when the h10 will be released in japan...
but you your friend visits tokyo, they should cruise akihabara or the shinjuku district...in osaka, they should truy electric town...
but make sure to get the international version since the japanese installation disk may not work on your home pc.
There are many duty free shops in japan which sell international versions of iriver products

iriver's products are available at major electronic stores in Japan such as Bic Camera, Yamada denki, etc. You can see a list of shops (in Japanese) which sell iriver products:

The problem will be relase date, which we don't know at present. I don't think international version of H10 is available in Japan. But as far as I tried, we can choose other languages when installing iriver plus.

yes...just dont bother going to the iriver japan headquarters...its crap...its one level above a convenience store.
