which Firmware???
So many threads listed with different firmware.

I have just purchased mine off of ebay used. It is running firmware 1.5 PFD. It has issues with not turning off fully. It sometimes appears to not fully shut down and leaves a very slight icon in the middle of the screen. It then drains the battery down to nothing.

I thought I would update the firmware and kick it back into gear. All the firm ware on the iriver site lists only 5 and 6 gig units. Mine is a 20 gb. Does the firmware make a difference??????

firmware was upgraded but battery is still failing. Almost like a discharge situation.
