Unhappy Why is WM 10 automatically removing files?

I use Windows Media Player 10 to update my iRiver H20. Recently, WM has been trying to delete (or remove) files from my device automatically, in the sync window. Also, when WM reads my device, it says that if it syncs, it will take up the rest of my memory on my iRiver. But this is impossible. My library is 13 GB and my iRiver is approx. 18.9 GB. Somebody help!

Yeah i experienced this myself.

When i tried to copy my whole music library the sneaky program copied my pictures and videos to it aswell. They weren't even added to the WMP libray. This upped my used space and thats the only reason i noticed otherwise i would have been oblivious.

Also when you update music tags on the music it recognises them as new files and will attempt to remove the old version (instead of updating the tags on the existing).

When the H20 is attached go to the device tab in settings and click properties.

Make sure that WMP isn't converting the songs to a different format or bitrate when it copies them to the device.

Hope that works for you.
