Exclamation At wits end!

I've had it! I've tried re-installing WMP10, tried the device enumeration fixes...nothing worked. I contacted IRIVER in Melbourne and was told 'dunno mate, it should work'. After suggesting to the guy that perhaps a change of career might be an option, perhaps brain surgery, I hung up and started all over again. I'm desparate. I have a H10 5G running firmware V.2.53E. When conected to the PC it is recognised in the Device Manager but not in My Computer nor WMP. I have tried to format but I recieve a message stating that the 'partition or volume is not enabled. To enable the volume or partition, restart the computer'. I am just about to loose it with this pocket sized peice of crap. Any suggestions?

Try this:

Try taking the battery out and then pressing power, this should make the screen flicker on a little. This is flushing the remainder power out of the system. Now put the battery back in plug in the usb and hold down O and keep holding it as you press power. "EMERGENCY CONNECT" should appear at the top of the screen.

Your computer should now pick it up as a removable drive.

Turn on hidden folders... TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW... tick "show hidden files and folders" AND make sure that "Display the contents of system folders" is ticked. Then click "Apply".

copy and save your system folder somewhere on your p.c. (Just in case) H10 seem so have problems in that field.

Now you should be able to format the drive in my computer.
