Exclamation help with h10

i accedently went in to the beach water with my h10 in my pocket:S.it had the case on.i turned it on after 2 days later becasue i thought it would be better if its dry inside, it turns on but it says system files missing. to restore the system files, connect to iriver plus.i cant turn it off after that message and it flickers a little bit too.i have to take off the battery to turn it off.i know this is a bad thing.any help?

Does your computer recognise it and can you still access the hard disk? Also, this topic shouldn't be in the Rockbox forum, but the general H10 forum

it says its connected but it dosnt come up in the computer and i cant shut the h10 down neither.also there is this weard click noice coming from inside the h10.i searched and read some of the post and it says you have to ubdate it and stuff but i cant even connect it to the computer.

Sounds like the hard disk is messed up, if you're hearing the click. You may want more opinions, but I don't think it's in a good way.

Clicking sounds generally mean that the HD arm is stuck/not operating. I would be doubtful about your chances of repairing it with a computer.

i got this ordered from iriver america.i did get a cd with it. and i have to click the o to get it connected to umc.so it is American version.

what can i do?should i open it?

edit:i cant take out the screws that the battery goes on.

i can open it from the top but not from the battery side because you need a totally different screw driver.

i even opend the h10 and put the arm all the way to the right for the harddrive but when i connected it to the charger it had the same problem.it was making a weird noice and the harddrive arm kept clkicking!
