Question Skinning
Are skins considered safe? Because i read a couple of theads were peoples players have been bricked because of them. Are they compatible with ums 2.53 firmware? And does anyone have the ipod skin or bacons theme for 5/6gb ums players?

There are two different types of skinning. Changing the boot and USB Connected screen leaves a chance of bricking. Changing the .mi4 file does not.

Actually, he created one in the RB section, which was moved, and created another one here, where it was supposed to go. Props for him for actually listening to what someone asked. If you are going to be snarky, stay off your computer.

Okay thanks
But does anyone have the ipod skin for 5/6gb players or should i try email the creator? Does it matter which firmware i have? (i have 2.53 ums) Do skins work with rockbox dualboot?
