Need help - USB on H10 20gb is extremely slow
I just bought a used H10 20gb from eBay.
It boots up with the "system files missing" error. So I figure that I'll just do the UMS trick and have the firmware upgrade software take care of it, right? Wrong. This H10 is loaded with firmware version 1.00. After doing the UMS trick, my computer takes over 5 minutes to recognize that the folder is accessable. So is my H10 a lost cause? Would a new version of the firmware speed up the USB transfer, or is the USB connection broken?

a new version of the firmware should speed up the USB transfer as it reformats the drive. also make sure your computer has USB 2.0
