H10 6GB took a dunk in a... river
Greetings, I've lurked around for a little while trying to find the solution to my problems, but i've had no luck
about a year ago, i decided to take a little swim with my beloved H10 in a river (irony!). i let it dry for an entire week without turning it on or anything. after i finally decided to turn it on, i received the dreaded "Missing System Files" message (i was surprised the screen was working fine, let only that it turned on). Whats worse is that my computer does not recognize it. It's only recognized as a mass storage thingy and i've no way of updating the firmware. i tried opening up my H10 and nudging the arm of the hard drive, but it only moves back and forth constantly. I also tried that enumeration thingy, but it doesn't work because my player only shows up on the device manager as a mass storage thingy (when i try to do anything to it, the device manager usually doesn't respond and freezes). also, the battery is drained if i leave it in. i know im being really optimistic saying this, but is there anyway to get my H10 6GB functioning again? |
