H10 5GB Vista Problem
I have a H10 5GB player and just upgraded to Vista. I didn't think this was going to be a problem because WMP 11 worked well in Windows XP. Well, everytime I hook it up normally, Vista starts looking for drivers and when it finds nothing, I can't use the player. It doesn't show up anywhere. When I hook up in Emergency Mode, it shows up then, but I can only download my purchased or ripped music. I get errors for all my subscription music. I have the latest firmware and followed all the directions on the iRiver website. I even e-mailed them last week and still have not heard anything. I'm hoping someone hear can help.

subscription music will not transfer in UMS (Emergency mode) because the license info isn't transfered with the song

I am having the same problem. Vista will not run Media Player 10 so I have to use 11. I have been unable to update the music on my players since I got my new laptop....is there any solution?

i just got an iriver PMC and first time i plugged it into my VISTA computer the driver install pop up came up and ir installed drivers and was ready to use. the pop up with what you want to do with the thing came up and i chose to sync it with wmp 11. it synced and i was happy until the the next day when i went to put more songs on. i plugged it in and then it just froze and wouldnt let me search it in explorer or wmp 11. it was in my computer and came up in sync center but i couldnt do anything with it. i plugged it a laptop running vista and it worked but then i took it out and tried it again and it froze up.
i uninstalled all the drivers and got irive music manager or something off orover website and then plugged in the pmc to the first computer again and it worked but then i took it out and put it in again and it didnt.  its so annoying! does anyone know what to do??

i worked something out if its anyhelp.... when i plug it in first i have about 3 seconds to do anything (go into folders and delete songs..) until the whole thing freezes up and doesnt do anything. the little circle that spins around when it is updating doesnt spin and thats when it freezes...
