h10 20gb water damage :'(

Ok so it was a sort of rainy day today. i purposely waited until it stopped raining so that i could take out my h10 to change songs... unfortunately, i walked under a tree and a big ass drop of water fell onto it! the player works fine, but the touch strip wont work at all!!! im going on a trip soon and i would really like to have a fully functioning mp3 player to help fight boredom
so now im gonna open it up and let it dry... i hope i hope i hope it works...
if you guys got a better solution PLEASE TELL ME!!!!! THANK YOU

You could put a dehumidier in the room, or right next to a radiator. Blow dryer from a pretty far distance might work too.

This happened to me. I got ink on the touch strip then used a baby wiper to clean it off, getting water inside in the process. The touch strip had stopped working.

I let it dry for a day, then the next day it began to function again, but it was all messed up. It could only scroll down and would randomly scroll up. I managed to use it for a while but then the touch strip just stopped working alltogether after about a month. I returned it and got an exchange.

send it to the iriver store at misticriver for service, it might cost around $50, but it will be done right and your player will be good as new

Update

it starting to "work". it goes down more than up. sometimes it goes randomly up and down a couple of times. sometimes i take a couple rubbing to make the screen light up. so do you think that working it everyday will make it eventually go back to normal?
