H10 5 gig problems

I have an H10 5 gig player. When I turn it on it says that I need to use the recovery tool from iriver.com. I downloaded the tool, but it can not locate the player, even when I open it in the proper mode following all the directions. The player sometimes shows up as a new drive on my computer, but often locks up the computer for 10 or 15 minutes after I reboot the player (this happens on several different computers, home and office). When I check the properties on the drive that gets assigned to it, it says that it has 0 capacity. I can't even format the drive as I would a regular one.

I have been struggling with this problem for two weeks (and reading all the forums), but I am at something of a loss here. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Jesse

Sounds like something happend to the microdrive inside the player. I accidently dropped mine about 2 feet while it was playing and it wouldn't work after that. I had pretty much the same problem as what you are seeing. I got ahold of iriver and they had me ship it to them and sent me a replacement.

Hope this helps
