H10 sent to iriver for repair - what follows?
Hi folks.
In the beginning of the year, I tried some modding stuff on my H10 - it was not really one of the best ideas of my life. It wouldn't start anymore after. So I sent it back to the shop where I bought it. 6 weeks later, they told me to send in the USB cable as well which I had forgot to put into the package. But I said, no thanks, send it back to me. If you even need 6 weeks to realize that there is missing the USB cable... Afterwards I sent it to iriver Germany. Which was okay for the moment, I got the notice of arrival. Then 4 weeks of silence, and the ask for 100€ to transfer on their accounts. I had already awaited it...It was only 3 days after the mail being sent to me when I noticed it. I wrote back to the supprt guy, and (I swear!) not even 60 seconds later I had the answer that they will repair the device ASAP after getting the money. So I transferred the money. But never got an acknowledgement at all. I have been writing 3 or 4 mails to them now, no one was ever answered. The last mail I received was somewhat one month ago. What do you mean I should do? Thanks in advance Okay. Called the support by phone now, and finally managed to reach a guy. Wonderful. He told me that he had no idea why this has happened, he has got the money, but there must have been any kind of error. Maybe because my father has transferred the money, and not me? Well, they said we'll repair it ASAP, if we don't manage, you'll get a new one. If there's nothing arrived at you middle or end next week, call again. Well, these companies are busy you know. They may take a long time sometimes but they do have other things to do and other players to fix that are ahead in line. Sorry, don't know what to tell you. I wouldn't have tried to mod my H10 in the first place.

I know that I am surely not their only client. But nevertheless, I think it should be possible that I get some sort of notification that the money I transferred to their accounts has arrived.
And devyanks90: Why shouldn't they fix it, if I send them the money for a new HDD? |

Yes, surely. I had to live with a crappy TEAC player that kept crashing on track titles that were ID3V2 tagged, that started at the first track whenever switching it on and such things...*aaaaaah*
