Compilation CDs for H10 20GB
I know I'm new, and I really did do a search... I find it really hard to believe that no one else has had this problem yet:
I'm trying to put a compilation CD on my iRiver and it splits every song into it's own artist folder. My music library is EXTREMELY organized and compilations are fine on WMP10. Is there any way that I can fix this without it affecting my comps on WMP? P.S. Very sorry if this is posted somewhere else, but I looked for about 1/2 an hour. |

When you copy your CD onto your iRiver, you can find the CD using the Browser function. Alternatively you can rename the CD Album tag using MP3tag editor. Then your CD will be displayed as one album

The only problem with the browser idea is that I'd have to constantly use the browser function. I have a CD called "Short Music for Short People" with 101 songs. This creates 101 new artists in my list on my iriver. MP3tag editor will correct this problem and I'll still be able to see the individual artist names and song titles when I play them? (not just Various Artists - "song title")

Well, nothing to do about the artist thing... but if you use MP3tag to edit the album, so that every song belongs to '101 short songs', it should be displayed as one album. Alternatively, you can edit the genre
