The power supply (AKA "wall wart") is 1A at 5VDC - which, interestingly enough, is a common size for powering USB hubs. You may own one already.
I lucked out and discovered I had a switching 5VDC supply with the right co-ax power plug already on it (came with a USB hub). Lucky me - it weighs less than half what the one that came with my H10 - so it goes in my bag and the original goes on my wall - power for the cradle.
Speaking of which, you can get a cradle in place of the adapter - it's more money, but if you want a cradle, not spending the money on an adapter that you'd have needed anyway might be a justification...

it can but with AC you don't need to use a computer while charging (say if you're on a trip w/o a laptop) and it's quicker than just USB
