Urgent Library listing help required for me, a STUPID user

Sorry for this long post as I am trying to explain my failed attempts so far.

My son has an Iriver H320 and spent weeks ripping 120 of our collection of 150 x CD’s onto his player.
Using Windows Media player (WMP) version 9 he typed in Song Title and Artist name and it ripped it to the “MY MUSIC” folder on his PC, it created it with an UNKNOWN file name and he re-named it with the album “Phil Collins – Greatest Hits” etc. Then he dragged the files onto his H320 no problems.
****
Now I have purchased an Iriver H10 20gb which only uses WMP version 10 and I do not know how to get NEWLY ripped CD’s (using WMP version 10) and the already ripped CD’s (using WMP version 9) into the H10’s library’s listing.
The Iriver H10 user guide and WMP help files are too vague for me to understand.

Using WMP version 10 I typed in Song Title and Artist name and ripped it to the MY MUSIC folder on the PC it created it with an UNKNOWN file name and then I re-named it with the album “Moody Blues – Greatest Hits” etc.
On WMP version 10 should there be a field to type in the Album Name as well as typing in the Song track titles and Artist name instead of it ripping to the PC as UNKNOWN ?

I tried to “add to library” by first selecting the folder (containing several ripped albums) and then tried selecting a single album, in both cases a pop-up window told me they had been copied to library.
BUT in the library all I can see is 1 x CD shaped icon titled “unknown” and the contents of it seem to list ALL of the tracks of ALL of the albums (that were in the folder) instead of 30 x CD shaped icons titled with the name of each CD that was in the folder.
****
You may think I’m stupid, (I probably am) but I desperately need help from one of you Mysticriver specialists.
Can anyone explain to me in very SIMPLE non-technical way what I am doing wrong.
How can I transfer the 120 albums already ripped (using WMP version 9) and a further 30 albums already ripped (using WMP version 10) without having to re-rip them.
1. How do I get them listed with their individual album names in the library.
2. How do I then transfer the Library listings onto my Iriver H10
3. How do I then get the ripped albums from my PC hard drive onto the H10.
4. What is the correct ripping process I should use for future ripping.

First question is, you are obviously online, is that the computer that you are using to RIP your CD's as WMP has the option to automatically retrieve all the album info from the internet. (I think its from a site called Gracenotes). Would save a lot of time typing in all the required fields.

You may also want to consider using EAC for ripping your CDs. It also has the function to automatically tag your music while ripping.

Here is an excellent guide to EAC configuration written by one of our members Dreamtactix291.

If you want to continue with WMP you should just be able to sync them with your player. There should also still be the option to find the album info and save it with WMP, if you are online.

The way I rip CD's and get them onto my H10 is as follows:

1.Rip the CD with iTunes
2.Connect the H10 and use copy-paste method to get them onto the device.

This method works perfectly well, in my case, and I never had any problems with it.
Using WMP is asking for trouble, I also spent weeks to figure out how to sync with WMP, but it is hopeless......
