iRiver H10 5GB not turning on

Tried everything, plugged it into the computer, plugged it into the charger and it refuses to turn on at all.

Before this, it was showing an error message which said "system files missing, connect H10 to iriver plus". After connecting to iRiver Plus, it still came up with the same message. Also songs would sometimes play, then othertimes it would just freeze when trying to play a song.

Any ideas? Or is this a warranty job?

i would suggest trying to format the player, then reload the firmware, or update the firmware if you havent done so

Does the red light on the charging wire come on when you try to charge it via mains or USB?

The red light was turning on, but now it's off.
