Help please with editing voice recordings?

Hi

Many apologies if this has been covered here but I can't find the solution in FAQs.

Please can someone tell me how to edit/rename voice recordings in WMP? The recordings show up when I'm synching but don't appear in the library. The only thing I seem to be able to do is delete files from the player. I can't work nout how to get the recprdings on to WMP properly in order to rename and burn them. Any tips?

Many thanks

Shirley

ok, connect your player in UMS mode, that way, the h10 shows up as a USB removable disk, and you can go to the recordings and change the name. dont use WMP, it is horrible . hope that helps

EDIT: to connect in UMS mode, turn you h10 off, and disconnect it from the computer (if it is connected), then, reset the player by taking the battery out (for 5/6gb) or poking the reset button (for 20gb), place battery back in if your player is 5/6gb, then, connect to h10 to your computer. now, hold the select/"o" button, while holding "o" turn on the player, and keep holding "o" until on the screen of the h10 its says "emergency connect"

EDIT2" you may have to do a database refresh after changing the name of the recording, for the h10 to pick up the new name

Yes basically thats what he means to rename the file. You can navigate through your files when in UMS mode.

@Shirley - Once you have your player in UMS mode you can just copy and paste, or drag and drop on to your PC and do what you want with your recording.
